MSCRM 2015: Understanding the Default View Types



Advanced Find View: This view is used when you have a lookup field on a form. For example, on the Contact form there is an Account lookup field. When you search within this field, the results will be displayed using the Advanced Find View.


Lookup View: This view is used when you have a lookup field on a form. When you choose to “Look Up More Records”, a Look Up Record dialog box will open. The view being used is the Lookup View.


Quick Find View: This view is used to show the results of a search within an entity. For example, when you’re looking at your Active Accounts, you will see a search box to the right. When you use this to search for a record, the results will be displayed using the Quick Find View. You can use this view to define which fields are searchable as well.
